6 weeks following treatment with DesoBody

This is a question I get asked a lot when we get enquiries regarding the fat dissolving injections. After all, they aren’t cheap and nobody wants to waste money on something which may make no difference. I have some good news for you, YES!! They do really work and they are really effective……for the right person. It is very important to realise these injections are NOT for weight loss. It is for TARGETED fat loss. The stubborn areas that do not go however much you diet or exercise.

How do fat dissolving injections work?

It uses a substance called Deoxycholate Acid to actually permanently remove the fat cells. It causes the fat cells to burst and then the waste gets removed by your body. We mix the Deoxycholate Acid with Anaesthetic and then the solution is injected into the stubborn pockets of fat.

How long does it take to work?

On average it takes 6-8 weeks to see the result. You can get bruising and swelling after treatment which takes time to resolve. Generally you lose about 1 cm of fat per treatment, the area can be treated several times to get to your desired result.

Is the fat gone permanently?

It is permanent! Once the fat cells are destroyed they don't grow back. However, if you were to gain weight the fat will be stored elsewhere on the body where there are fat cells.
